YES Staff Members

The staff of YES is comprised of administrators, support staff, and  professionals with extensive education and experience in social work, mental health counseling, prevention and treatment of addictions, and family therapy. Staff includes licensed clinical social workers, clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, credentialed addiction counselors, credentialed prevention professionals, and family therapists. A psychiatrist and nurse practitioner are also available to serve clients within the addiction treatment program.

Adrienne LoPresti | Executive Director

Adrienne LoPresti obtained her Master’s in Social Work in 1997 from Adelphi University and has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since that time, currently serving as the agency’s Executive Director.  She specializes in working with adolescents, families, substance abuse and individuals affected by trauma.  Ms. LoPresti is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and EMDR.  As the Executive Director of YES Community Counseling Center, she provides community and professional trainings and is also certified through the NYS Department of Education as a trainer for the state mandated child abuse identification program.  She serves as Vice President for the Nassau Alliance of Addiction Services and the Coalition of Nassau County Youth Service Agencies.

Jamie Bogenshutz | Chief Transition Officer

Jamie Bogenshutz is a licensed and clinical social worker accredited through the National Association of Social Workers and the NYS Dept. of Education. She is credentialed as an alcohol and substance abuse counselor through the NYS Office of Substance Abuse Services and is also a Board certified Expert in Traumatic Stress. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1978 from Washington University. Jamie is also certified through the NYS Dept of Education as a trainer for the state mandated child abuse identification program and certified as a SAFE talk trainer for suicide prevention. 

Mark Wenzel | Assistant Director

Mark Wenzel has served as the agency Assistant Director for the past 28 years. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is responsible for a wide range of services and programs. He represents the agency in the community through a variety of committees and memberships. Mr. Wenzel coordinates special projects, community development, and fundraising for the organization including YES Adopt-A-Family Program, Backpack Program, and the summer leisure project to name just a few.

Angela Piccininni | Associate Director, Clinical Services

Angela Piccininni obtained her Master’s in Social Work at New York University and began working at YES Community Counseling Center in 2003. Ms. Piccininni is certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT-5) and is a certified facilitator and trainer of the Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) assessment tool. Ms. Piccininni also holds a credential as a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor and specializes in addictions, as well as working with young adults, families and survivors of trauma.

Corinne Alba | Associate Director- Community, Outreach, and Training

Corinne Alba is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, and a Certified Prevention Professional.  She obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling from Long Island University and has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since 2007. As the Associate Director of Community, Outreach and Training she works with local communities, schools, coalitions, and businesses to provide outreach and education. Corinne facilitates the training and education programs and oversees the Federal Grant Programs awarded to the agency to support prevention, treatment and recovery efforts to address substance use. 

Liz Accetta | Program Director of Addiction and Support Services

Elizabeth Accetta is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. She has many years of experience providing individual, group and family counseling to those struggling with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, addiction, anger management, stress, concerns regarding depression and anxiety, marital/family discord, self-esteem, and building coping skills. Prior to working at YES, Elizabeth has specialized working with individuals and their loved ones battling addiction in outpatient settings. Elizabeth believes in meeting the individual where they’re at and utilizes a range of therapeutic techniques such as motivational enhancement, cognitive behavioral, twelve step facilitation, solution focused and strengths based.

Leighann Sapienza | Intake Coordinator/Counselor


Leighann Sapienza is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has been working at YES since 2018. Leighann has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College. Leighann is a Certified Field Instructor and provides clinical supervision for staff and interns. In her role as intake coordinator, Leighann helps families and individuals connect to treatment services at and ensures their needs are met. 

Kathleen Coletta | Counselor

Kathleen Coletta is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since 2008. A graduate of Adelphi University with her Masters in Social Work, she is certified to perform evidenced-based programs including Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, BASICS and Active Parenting. Kathleen has over 12 years clinical experience working with individuals, families and groups impacted by addiction. In 2020 Kathleen joined the YES Community Counseling Center’s prevention team to train professionals in evidenced-based prevention programs and provide workshops to meet the needs of our communities.

Toni Lynn Hanzich | Counselor

Ms. Hanzich is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a graduate of Adelphi University who has been with YES Community Counseling Center since 2003. Ms. Hanzich joined the clinical staff in 2011 where she works with children, young adults, and families whose lives have been impacted by addiction. She also facilitates both the Active Parenting Program and Parent Support Group at the Levittown site. Ms. Hanzich has extensive experience as a school social worker on the elementary level, and specializes in ADD/ADHD, anxiety and depression, bereavement, and school avoidance.

Michele Barone | Counselor

Michele Barone is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Social Work. Michele received her Master’s degree at SUNY Stony Brook University. Michele works with a variety of individuals and their families, including but not limited to those struggling with mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, chronic stress, etc. While working at YES, Michele also has facilitated an outreach program providing evidence-based preventative/educational services to children and their families in our local schools regarding experimental alcohol, drug and nicotine use. Michele uses a strengths based perspective model, with utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral skills. Prior to working at YES CCC, Michele worked primarily with the mental health population, assisting members in achieving recovery from their symptoms at an outpatient day treatment program.
