Training and Professional Development 

YES is a licensed provider of social worker and mental health counseling continuing education and as a NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services certified education and training provider.  Please see below for our available trainings that provide learning opportunities for the on-going professional development of credentialed individuals.

BASICS Training
(Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention of College Students) 
​

BASICS is an evidence-based prevention intervention for college students (ages 18-24) who drink alcohol heavily and/or have experienced or are at risk for alcohol-related problems such as poor class attendance, missed assignments, accidents or violence. 

Opioid Prevention and Naloxone Training 

This training is for families and concerned community members impacted by opiate addiction. Naloxone training and kits are FREE and available in our community.

Drug and Alcohol Trends

Provides relevant information about the latest drug and alcohol trends and statistics, at the county level as well as national trends. Appropriate for adults as well as youth, and can be customized.

Community, Parent, and Business Workshops

YES will design and provide an educational program to meet the needs of your program, agency, business or school. Workshops are geared towards the education, prevention and treatment of substance abuse and mental health.

Business Meeting
Trainees will develop skills on how to effectively engage parents within a safe environment so they are open to positive changes in their family relationships. Participants will be trained in both Active Parenting 4th Edition (for parents with children ages 5-11) and Active Parenting of Teens (for parents of teens ages 12-17).
