Treatment for Adolescents and Families
Addiction treatment for adolescents focuses on individuals under the age of 18 who are engaged in some pattern of substance misuse. A combination of individual, family, and specialized group counseling is provided to not only treat the substance use behaviors, but any other difficulties that may be affecting the teen. We believe that parents and guardians are the most powerful influences in children’s lives and that positive growth is most likely to be sustained when all family members join together to work towards a goal.
As a result, parents of adolescents in the program are encouraged to attend sessions which are focused on parenting skills, education, and support.
Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS)
An evidence-based group therapy for adolescents living with chronic stress or who have experienced a traumatic event.
Self-Discovery Group
Focusing on helping adolescents cope with stressors related to emotional, physical, and biological changes. It will provide a supportive safe environment for the adolescent to discuss barriers to discontinuing their substance use.
