Staff
The staff of YES is comprised of professionals with extensive education and experience in social work, addictions and family therapy. Staff includes licensed clinical social workers, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, credentialed addiction counselors and family therapists. A psychiatrist and nurse practitioner are also available to serve clients within the addiction treatment program.

| Jamie Bogenshutz, LCSW, R, CASAC, BCETS Executive Director Ms. Bogenshutz is a licensed and clinical social worker accredited through the National Association of Social Workers and the NYS Dept. of Education. She is credentialed as an alcohol and substance abuse counselor through the NYS Office of Substance Abuse Services and is also a Board certified Expert in Traumatic Stress. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work in 1978 from Washington University. As the Executive Director of YES Community Counseling Center, she is also certified through the NYS Dept of Education as a trainer for the state mandated child abuse identification program and certified as a SAFE talk trainer for suicide prevention. She is a Board Member on the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce and the Plainedge Teacher Center. She is an active member of the Nassau County Heroin Task Force and serves as Vice President for the Nassau Alliance of Addiction Services and the Coalition of Nassau County Youth Service Agencies. |
| Mark Wenzel, LMSW Assistant Director Mark Wenzel has served as the agency Assistant Director for the past 28 years. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is responsible for a wide range of services and programs. He represents the agency in the community through a variety of committees and memberships. Mr. Wenzel coordinates special projects, community development, and fundraising for the organization including YES Adopt-A-Family Program, Backpack Program, and the summer leisure project to name just a few. |
| Adrienne LoPresti, LCSW, R Associate Director Adrienne LoPresti obtained her Master's in Social Work in 1997 from Adelphi University and has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since that time, currently serving as the agency's Associate Director. She specializes in working with adolescents, families, substance abuse and individuals affected by trauma. Ms. LoPresti is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and EMDR. |
| Angela Piccininni, LCSW, R, CASAC Intake Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor Angela Piccininni obtained her Master's in Social Work at New York University and began working at YES Community Counseling Center in 2003. Ms. Piccininni is certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT-5) and is a certified facilitator and trainer of the Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) assessment tool. Ms. Piccininni also holds a credential as a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor and specializes in addictions, as well as working with young adults, families and survivors of trauma. |

| Dina Bombardiere, LMSW Intake Coordinator Dina Bombardiere obtained her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University where she completed her specialization in working with children and families. She is the agency’s Intake Coordinator and also facilitates the Adult Psycho-Educational Groups. She is currently the agency's At-Risk Youth Program coordinator and is certified in Moral Reconation Therapy. |
| Kim Berkery, LMHC, RPT-S Clinical Supervisor Kim Berkery is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She obtained her Master's in Mental Health Counseling in 1997 from Marymount University. Prior to working at YES, Ms. Berkery provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and families in various settings including day treatment, intensive outpatient (mental health & substance abuse) and outpatient programs. She is certified to perform Motivational Enhancement Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, she has extensive training in sexual abuse and trauma, suicide prevention and intervention, substance abuse, and play therapy. |
| John Mignanelli, LCSW Clinical Supervisor John Mignanelli obtained his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2005 and he has been employed full-time at YES since he graduated. He supervises both clinical staff as well as graduate level interns. John is certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT). He is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which is an evidence based model utilized in treating clients with a trauma history including military personnel who may be struggling with trauma related to war. John facilitates the Young People’s Support and Recovery Group and he has experience working with diverse populations including clients affected by addictions, trauma and mental illness. |
| Corinne Alba, LMHC Therapist Corinne Alba is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Mrs. Alba graduated from C.W. Post University with her Master's in School Counseling. Mrs. Alba is a full time clinician at YES, certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Moral Reconation Therapy and as a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. She is also a certified supervisor in MET/CBT. As a former Guidance Counselor, she specializes in working with adolescents and their families. |
| Kathleen Coletta, LMSW Therapist Kathleen Coletta is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since 2008. A graduate of Adelphi University with her Master's of Social Work, she is certified to perform Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Prior to working at YES, Kathleen provided counseling and case management services to families and veterans facing homelessness in a community-based housing program. In addition, she has helped families cope with grief and loss through her work at the Hospice Care Network. |

He is also trained to utilize Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to establish rapport, create awareness, and elicit change from a culturally competent perspective. |
| Lia Baldasano, LMSW Therapist Lia Baldasano is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has been working at YES Community Counseling Center since 2010. Prior to working at YES, Lia provided individual and group counseling to clients with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse), worked with children as a school Social Worker, and also the elderly on an at-home basis. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy, and specializes in children, adolescents, families and couples. |
| Joey Cianci, LMSW Therapist Ms. Cianci obtained her Master's degree from Stony Brook University. She specializes in working with individuals and families who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma. |
| Claire McCarthy-King, LCSW Therapist Ms. McCarthy-King received her Master's in Social Work in 1986 from Adelphi University. Since that time, Ms. McCarthy-King has worked in a variety of settings, including residential, day treatment, and out-patient programs. She has experience working with diverse populations including the developmentally disabled and adolescents. Ms. McCarthy-King has also had extensive training and experience working with those struggling with substance abuse and a variety of mental health issues as well as marriage and family counseling, parenting, and supervision. |
| Danamarie Craca, LMSW Therapist Ms. Craca is a Licensed Social Worker and obtained her Master's in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2010. Dana began working at YES in June 2011 and has experience working in foster care and with children in a school setting who have special needs including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD/ADD and Emotional Disturbance |
