Kat Lee obtained her Master’s in Social Work at Stony Brook University where she earned her specialization in trauma. She is licensed to practice in the State of New York. Kat has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and families in various settings including adolescents in juvenile detention, survivors of domestic violence and or sexual abuse and has experience as a school social worker. Kat has an extensive background in research and has experience in working with several treatment approaches, including, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation and Play Therapy. She has training in crisis intervention, sexual abuse and trauma, suicide prevention and intervention, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, grief, self-harming behaviors and disaster relief. Kat is a certified trainer of the Enough Abuse Campaign aimed at preventing child sexual abuse and is a member of The Red Cross disaster mental health team.
