About YES
YES Community Counseling Center is a community-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the residents of southeastern Nassau County since 1977. Though historically rooted in youth programs, we changed our name from Youth Environmental Services to better reflect the scope of services we provide, including school-based social work, counseling, drug/alcohol treatment, and a wide variety of other services. As a result, we tend to those who are struggling with issues including but not limited to domestic violence, chemical dependence, family conflict, sexual abuse, marital/peer difficulties, bereavement, and health concerns.
An initial meeting or intake will determine the type of services provided based upon the specialized needs of that individual and/or family. Some of our services are offered free of charge, while others are based on a sliding scale. That said, we take most insurances and hold to the principle that no client will be denied services based upon an inability to pay.
