Dear Friend,

Whether you are an avid golfer, a supporter of YES or a survivor of several U.S. Opens at Bethpage & Shinnecock, we wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in what we know will be another extraordinary opportunity.

As you may know, The Barclays will be conducted at the Bethpage Golf Course from August 23-28, 2016. YES will once again be responsible for providing volunteers to staff a concession booth. We will need approximately 25 people each day, and thought you might enjoy this opportunity to once again help our organization and be a part of this special week. For every shift you volunteer to work, you will receive a pass to watch the tournament on that same day. We are hopeful that you will be able to assist us in this effort.  Volunteers can be as young as 16 provided they are accompanied by a parent volunteer for the selected shift(s).

The caterers of this event will ultimately be donating funds back to YES after we fulfill our obligation to provide volunteers. We will be using these funds to further our efforts to provide services to the children and families of our community. Imagine the opportunity to watch great golf and support one of your charities at the same time! Please feel free to call us if you have other questions or need additional information.

We know that we are a bit early, but also realize that summer is just around the corner. We would appreciate your return of the response sheet at your earliest convenience.  We have a significant amount of preparation work that needs to be done and we want to ensure that you are able to participate as you desire. The shifts will fill up quickly. We will provide you with more information, particularly as it relates to transportation and other important details as we get closer to the event.

On behalf of those we serve, thank you for all your past support and we look forward to seeing you at the Barclays in August!  Please feel free to call us at (516)799-3203 with any questions.

Sincerely,

Jamie Bogenshutz, LCSW
Executive Director

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
(Volunteers must be 16 years or older)

AS A VOLUNTEER YOU WILL BE GIVEN A PASS TO ENJOY THE TOURNAMENT EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR SHIFT.
The pass may only be used by you on the day you are volunteering.

Certification for reporting Child Abuse & Neglect...

Who is a MANDATED REPORTER?
What is CHILD ABUSE?
What happens when I make a REPORT?

These are some of the important questions we all need to ask to help keep children SAFE.
If you re looking to work in education or in healthcare, this training may be required.
