Donations
Through the gracious donations of individuals we are able to maintain and even expand our services to better meet the needs of the community. All financial donations are tax deductible, as permitted by law.
There are a few ways you can help:
Financial Donation
As always, traditional checks and credit card donations are accepted by mail and phone, but we are pleased to announce that financial donations are now easier than ever! You can donate online by clicking the PayPal button on the sidebar to the right.
Food & Material Donations
In the winter months we accept non-perishable food donations to stock our food pantry programs for families in need. Furthermore, we are looking for individuals, families, and groups to "Adopt a Family" during the holiday season so that underprivileged families are able to provide food, gifts, and clothing during the holidays.
We gladly accept any donations that could enhance or expand our services such as technology and electronics, raffle prizes, event tickets/admission, transportation, trainings, work/construction materials, furniture, etc.
In partnership with Big Brothers/Sisters of Long Island, we maintain a receptacle throughout the year for donated goods: used clothing, small household products, shoes, towels, etc. (The bin is located in the municipal parking behind the Central Avenue library in Massapequa, just off New York Ave).
Attend Fundraising Events
We hold fundraisers throughout the year in the form of garage sales, dinner benefits, golf outings, and much more. Your attendance at such events not only encourages us to keep doing what we're doing but the proceeds also enable the expansion of our services. Purchase a Leaf on Our "Giving Tree"
Our giving tree, featured below, is proudly displayed in our office to acknowledge those who have supported our efforts to serve the community. A custom message can be engraved on each leaf with a maximum of three lines (25 spaces per line), colors and costs are below.
